Young people who have gone above and beyond to support our work to empower vulnerable communities with solar and renewable energy technologies.
Parker is a teenager living in the midwest who cares passionately about the environment and about other children living around the world. She loves expressing her views on current issues through drawings. You can see her artwork--often as social commentary, on her blog http://www.neverlonely.net.
Parker single-handedly raised over $7,000 for Empowered by Light from her friends and family and through the sales of her hand drawn cards. She raised the money to support the solar energy system on the Kabula School in a very poor and remote community in Western Zambia. Learn more about Kabula here.
